Congrats to Marnie and Anthony, and all of the other writers.
Thank you to Don for SS and all of the reminders he emails
of upcoming OWCs.
Thank you, Steve, for the intriguing challenge and extending the
deadline. The extra two days was a difference maker.

In the two decades I've been participating in SS challenges, I have
never done better than the middle of the pack. LOL.

The only Cup I can claim in my life is the one they made us
wear in Jr. High School gym class back in the 20th century.

The primary reason I did so well in this challenge was due to a
pretty good addiction/compulsion/impulse:  Kleptomania.
For reasons unknown, I started thinking about Marnie.
Not "our" Marnie, but the Hitchcock movie. Tippi Hedren played
a klepto. I thought what a great compulsion, both rarely used in
films and perfect for this challenge.
If not for that, I'm pretty sure I would not be in the top group.

Great job. I just assumed your name was Abe all this time.

Yeah, I get that a lot. Actually, when we had (maybe still do) so many
Gary's posting regularly, I preferred to be called "Abe."
Still do.
Cuz all of the other Gary's kicked my screenwriting ass.

Libby/Ghostie I cannot believe you realised it was me from my dark take on AI/tech, what gave it away

I can't speak for the other two...
As for myself:

Congratulations to everyone! I'm afraid that my husband and I both got sick with COVID, and I did not vote. I apologize for that. But I did read everybody's scripts after the fact. I enjoyed them very much and was impressed by people's creativity.

Hope you're feeling better, Dawn! Watch out for the Halloween OWC... If there's not a Quickie challenge beforehand.

Congrats to the top 3.

And well done to all who entered. They were some tight parameters so it was awesome to see a good turnout.

Two steps to writing a good screenplay:
1) Write a bad one
2) Fix it
