Mine is not posted here. I wasn't supposed to take part at all, but for awhile, it looked like maybe no one would enter anything so I went ahead and wrote something. I did miss the entry deadline because I was away at my son's wedding, so my script won't be included here. It was written for this challenge though.

That's GREAT Dustin! That's how it should be done! Congratulations and hopefully someone will notice your script. Sometimes, filmmakers notice the writer for their work and hire them for other writing jobs.
I mentioned a couple of times that I didn't have time to read all 9 so I would only read for a swap. Only Dena and Rick took me up on that. As well as JimiLamp, even though he didn't enter anything. I'm currently re-writing mine.
The challenge nature of it definitely helped me get to the finish line. I'll definitely be in the next one, which I hope we won't have to wait too long for.
I'm still rewriting using Dena's notes and what I got from Screenplay Readers. A producer is waiting for the script asap. Same producer I steered towards yours btw. Let me know if you hear anything.
Yeah, I've had that happen a few times already. Most of them just guys starting out or with slim experience, forming producer/director/writer teams to approach exec's with their script ideas. I wrote three feature scripts like that and none of them have gone anywhere.
However, recently, I met someone fairly influential and have been commissioned to adapt an autobiography for a film with a £4 million budget.
It's only one film though, so I'm always open to writing whatever comes my way.
I've got enough reads on this script and over all I'm pleased with what I achieved. Good luck with your own script, Pia.

If all goes well, I will be done ealy next week if not this weekend. When posted, it will sneak under the radar, and I'm fine with that. I'll start reading peeps soon after.
I've also just finished my reads of the original eight. Will give 'Remnant' a read too if the author reads mine, but I know most people by their screen names and not their real names so you'll have to let me know if you do.
It's been a good experience so far, but mainly I'm just glad I got a first draft of a feature finished. It's interesting to see how it comes across to others, as when you write it it all makes sense to you. I already know how the re-write will go, and I've only had a few reviews.
If any of you have any specific questions about your own scripts that you'd like to ask, things that maybe haven't been brought up already, feel free to PM me your questions and I'll see what I can do.
If the next 7WC takes my fancy, I think I'll give that a shot too.
I'm the author of Remnant (Chris). I'm way behind on my reading -- got a paper proposal due next week and I've been focused on school -- but I'll definitely get to everyone! Enjoyed the first two and am sitting down to the third as soon as I get through my next essay…
This 7WC (or 8, in my case) seems to have gone quite well. Lots of good discussion.
