Thanks to everyone that liked my three scripts. All of them were very well recieved by most readers. I noticed a few of them were people's favourites as well, so that's always nice to hear.
I know I played them down in the build up but I am very proud of all of them.
Now as for this round; not easy parameters at all. I know I'm going to struggle, but I will definitely put something up and hopefully I surprise myself again.
I'm very happy to be going up against Dave this round. He is a writer I really respect and like. My produced and unproductive scripts are filled with his advice and recommendations.
I really wouldn't feel bad losing to him and will be backing him for the win if I go out this round.
Dave I've always valued your advice. I know you wouldn't lead me astray. I'll get right on it
Mark did indeed. Like you, I had on idea that we were still paired and actually assumed we were not since when reviewing scripts they weren't paired in the same thread like before. I.e. we weren't voting for the best three scripts between two contestants. So I was surprised to see the brackets this AM.
I dunno, it was pretty clear to me. Each of the Elite Eight would throw in three scripts, all of them would be scored independently, and the one with a higher average in each bracket advances.
The twist here being there was no way to know for sure which scripts were competing with or against which other ones. This is a twist that affects the readers rather than the writers, because relative-preference-between-two decisions are always easier.
