Woah, just read both scripts and thinking Sean really went full Monti with this round. Haha, what a criteria. Loved the second amendment requirement, but the female president and her ex-husband being a hitman/her savior - wow, Sean.
The writers clearly did a very good job here. I'm very impressed with what I read. Two fine scripts. |

Can we discuss what criteria was, by the way? |

You can discuss it and see if you nailed it down. |

Are we not supposed to be leaving comments on the scripts? Did I miss something? |

There's nothing stopping you. Some people like to grade based on the content of the script, others like to grade based on how closely it followed the rules while others don't like to let their scores be influenced by others. It's all about personal preference. |

WHO: the first female President WHAT: Assassination attempt which her husband must prevent WHERE: Metropolitan Museum of Art WHEN: 2028 WHY: The repeal of the 2nd Amendment
Or a close approximation. Pretty wicked idea.
I liked one treatment much better than the other. Nice job by both writers getting this far, and getting a cohesive story around these parameters. |

No, it's just a woman runs into her former husband at MoMA in 2028. Any other similarity in the stories is coincidental |

Not the writers' fault so more of a question for Sean - if you're awaiting election results, are you really the guest of honor at a gathering at the MOMA? Just wondering. |

I think the where criteria was a major art museum in NY, not necessarily MoMA. When - last ellection day (possibly they were asked to skip this president term and next only) who - a future female president and her ex-husband. He's a hitman with shady past. what - he has to be her guard and save her. why - love
now I have no idea how 2nd amendment fits into 5 W's. |

I got it - they were asked to go with the next republican president-to-be/female/anti-gun.
I won't believe that Sean is so simple as to tell them the exact year. |

Okay, I'm reviewing the second now. There's a parameter re ex-hubby (in the service) presumed dead, or comes back from the dead, right? 'Control' just got a bit out there... In a good way, mind you. Writer: John McClane lives on. |

Yes, Steve. You should post comments. Where are all the other reviewers? Seems everyone's clammed up. |

Yes - tis eerily quiet. Although I kind of expected as much. This thread itself has only about a third of the folks weighing in who normally do. Nature of the beast I think. |

I've read them both (one four times) but haven't felt ready to comment. I do know which one I'm voting for. Excellent job by both writers. |

Right now both scripts got an equal amount of positive and negative critique so I better not ruin the equilibrium there with my comments. I do have a preference and going to vote Excellent for one and VG for the other.
The writers behind both scripts are pretty obvious to me, but no guessing until the voting is closed I suppose.
I haven't received the scorecard yet - just letting know) |
