Fuck You Michael Vick! by Anonymous - Three of the most notorious villains in horror film history corner disgraced NFL QB/dog murderer Michael Vick in a cemetery on Halloween. Short, Horror
Wow. So I'm guessing you're not a fan of Michael Vick
The choice of three notorious serial killers ganging up was pretty clever.
You have a unique writing style with a few asides thrown in for good measure. Obviously went for the comedic route more toward the end after your shock!! which I won't reveal. But that part didn't land for me.
Not sure if I enjoyed this or not: Lots of name dropping and cliches. Just not sure if it was meant to be funny or not for my taste, but hey ho - that's life, buddy.

Well I laughed. Likeable script with a good sense of humour. I don’t know much about Vick but I guess I got the Cliff’s notes. This would work well animated. Nice and snappy.
... Vick was suspended indefinitely without pay from the NFL by commissioner Roger Goodell, hours after pleading guilty to federal charges in his involvement with the Bad Newz Kennels dog fighting investigation. Not long ago, Vick served 21 month behind bars, but now, he's back. I'm an Aussie and had no idea who Michael Vick was. Looked it up before I read, and notice you included your own FYI in the script.
Wondering about the underlining in the dialogue. I've read a ton of scripts in 20+ years, and I don't recall ever seeing that before. I suppose it's for emphasis.
For those here in the U.S. who followed the Michael Vick saga, I think it was pretty obvious where this was going from the outset but you still managed to find a decent way to incorporate the reveal at the end. Not a bad effort here, but one thought that would have been a total surprise (spoiler coming) -- instead of revealing the horror film bad guys turn out to be dogs (an obvious revenge factor involved through that method), why not have the dogs do the killing, but then have them reveal themselves to be Mike Meyers, Jason Voorhees, etc, dressed up as dogs? Not THAT would have been a real surprise ending!
Anyway, good effort here.

Well, ok. Because I refrain from watching any form of corporate/propaganda media, hate football, and do not subscribe to any social media whatsoever… I’m going to fully admit I have no idea who this person is or what actually transpired with the dog scenario.
But, that being said, I love animals, especially dogs, so anyone who is guilty of what you mention in this script is definitely fair game for a serial killer fine tuning.
Jason takes off the hockey mask – PUG… lol. I have a pug ‘Romeo’ and will admit his little pushed in face would probably fit perfectly behind a Goalie Mask.
At only 4 pages I think you just had something you needed to get off your chest…
“The catharsis theory used to be prevalent among anger therapists. The concept was that if one wanted to punch someone they were angry at, they could vent this anger by punching out a pillow, or in some cases an inanimate object or even a plastic figure as a model for the person they were angry with.”
In this case… it’s Michael Vick using a chainsaw, a machete, and a big-ass knife. Curious avenue of approach to fill the OWC challenge, but hey, I’m thinking that fruitcake probably deserves it too. Best of luck
Ahoy Anonymous - Gosh, I couldn’t speak to much about him without a Wikipedia search as well. So I did. Cowboy fan myself. That aside, maybe horror/comedy instead of just horror. Clearly this isn't your first rodeo - you've been writing for awhile and it shows. I'm sure animal lovers would be cheering these dogs on, but for me... outside the kibble line, nothing here really tickled my funny bone.
Like I said, I thought that it was very well written and even intriguing, but I also felt it's 15 years too late. If that makes sense. Best of Irish Luck! -A
Vick was convicted of owning/renting the property where the dogfights took place. I don’t recall him ever participating in the dogfights. So I’ll give him a pass on that. He returned to the NFL after serving his sentence. Kudos to Andie Reid for giving him another shot. But his skills as a QB were gone. Now that would be the shocker for me. But hey, the three villians still work…somewhat.

And apologies to the Writer. Don says this passes muster so anyone who hasn't commented should do so, and if you've voted already PM Don your additional vote for this one.
I was never a Michael Vick fan. There were some sick stories and rumors not worth repeating that he did a LOT more than rent the property.
That said, moving right along...
The story was funny. It was horror, especially for Michael Vick. I understand the underlining of dialog but usually it's to add emphasis to some of the words and not a whole sentence. For instance, I would write the Donald Trump impression as: You're fired!
I also wouldn't underline sluglines even though you have only one, plus THE END. I guess everyone has their own style. You're using Final Draft so you are obviously committed and likely experienced.
So, you get points off me for the great title page. It's superb. I like the title too.
You also get points off me for targeting this seemingly bad person, Michael Vick, sounds like a piece of work and I cannot stand animal cruelty so a big thumbs up for giving these dogs their revenge!
There's good descriptive writing amongst it all but I just find the rock, paper, scissors bit, a little messy.
I think you could've had a little more fun with the part where the dogs "go to town" on Vic. Maybe a little more detail, maybe some poetic justice!
The dog breeds you use are great, all funny - would have preferred they didn't speak though, wanted them to be as dog-like as possible.
God personally saying Fuck You to Michael Vick was pretty funny.
I liked your entry up until the last 2 pages. The humor with the dogs just didn't land for me. You redo those last two pages, I think it's a very solid entry.
