Finally read through the last few. Strong batch of entries again. The horror-comedies were my favourites this time around -- maybe because I've been watching so many horror movies this October that the lighter tones were a relief.

I really prefer the shorter page count competitions like this, and I think the scripts wind up more produceable as well.

This is the table I’ve been pounding as well.  Shorter page count, more open parameters, and no limit on the genres.  Look at the wide variety of entries on this contest alone.  Even though it was horror themed, the scripts came from a lot of different directions.

Those of us old members of Movie Poet know that the five page limit actually forced us to be better at our craft, be better at editing, learn how to get in late and leave early on scenes, etc. I would love to see that as a standard feature of the comps here.  Maybe 6 pages at most.

Some of my scripts:

Bounty (TV Pilot) -- Top 1% of discoverable screenplays on Coverfly
I'll Be Seeing You (short) - OWC winner
The Gambler (short) - OWC winner
Skip (short) - filmed
Country Road 12 (short) - filmed
The Family Man (short) - filmed
The Journeyers (feature) - optioned

All good points, Gary.
