Woah! That's some twist from Sean - it was the versus thing after all. Congrats to the ones advancing. It was a really good one. I'm glad I was not in, wouldn't be able to come up with one let alone three. You guys are super good. Some of my favorite entries got booed, bummer. Can't wait to see what's next.

Damn, in fact a vs game… Congrats to the advancing lot albeit the others were great as well this round, not a shame to leave like this. I wanted to watch out for a pattern of my likings, ha, completely mixed my opinion was; only the Cardinal did serve the juice in all three.

Warren, how dare you!? We are mortal enemies now. I will have my revenge in this life or the next! That was fun. Got me out of a bad writing rut. I needed to just write something, anything, but I wouldn't have if not dragged kicking and screaming. Best of luck to all still in. Can't wait to see who wins it.
That rug really tied the room together.

Shoot, I wish I'd made it through; the Round 4 premise sounds like fun. Instead, I guess I'll have to work on my federal taxes this weekend. A word or two on my entries:Tweakers -- The germ of this came from an case in Virginia in the 1970s involving two teenagers who dug up their father's grave to steal his gold teeth.Margaret and Charles -- This is based on a short story I wrote as a college student. I just wanted to see whether I could do it as a one-page script.Rover One -- This is based on Hector, my English cocker spaniel. (My other dog is an American cocker.) I knew it was probably a mistake, but I wrote it anyhow. Congratulations to those who advanced!

I crushed my competition! - I always do when I am competing against 0 scripts.
Note: I would have withdrawn had I not had a top 4 score. Wouldn't have felt right.
Good scripts by all especially Mark/Warren - both stellar efforts - a tough match indeed.
Good luck to all in the final four.
Warren I recommend that you write a script with 5 characters, 7 pages long and make sure all action takes place somewhere other than a car

Wow, I forgot we were paired. Another round by the skin of my teeth. For the 2 people that liked my script "She": She, in my mind, was a doe. But I didn't want to come out and say it. It could be super-fantasy "Princess Mononoke" type shit if the director so chooses. More importantly, "She" is Mother Nature and the "Man" hiding in the tree stand (stumpzian was right) is mankind. It is also meant to parallel the political climate at the moment. #METOO ha ha ha. Or, how some men treat the women in their lives... The rule breaking served no purpose other than to bring the reader to the perspective of the animal. I think it was Warren who said that to him the script was just a deer getting shot. It wasn't horror in his mind. That's what I was trying so desperately to avoid. I tried to make the prose "earthy"....or something... Anyways, it wasn't a popular script but it's the one I'm most proud of. I probably don't belong in the final four, but I'll try my best to up my game in the next round! Good luck everyone!

Congrats to all the writers in this round. No losers here. I'd have to give top honors to 'The Painter' IMO. It's the one short that I re-read a few times and truly had some wicked mental images on how it would translate to film. Top notch. Now let's see what you all have left over for the next round!

Nice work, Warren. I was very stingy with my five's but I gave one each to A GENEROUS DONATION and THE PAINTER.
